Before installing the conveyor belt, it is necessary to accurately calculate the conveyor belt size, transport load and conveyor characteristics.
Conveyor size depends on the quantity and characteristics of the material being transported, as well as the length and height of the conveyor belt. The transition distance, radius of curvature, and tension rate were determined based on an elastic elongation coefficient of 1.3.

The difference between rubber conveyor belt and PVC conveyor belt
Rubber Conveyor Belts (EP fabric): When joining rubber conveyor belts, we recommend using a stepped joint with a miter cut, where each step (along the length of the belt) is one third of the belt width. The length of each step is determined based on the number of inserts on the conveyor and ranges from a minimum of 150 mm to a maximum of 300 mm. The total joint length is calculated as follows:
L = 1/3 b (conveyor belt width) + step length x (number of fabric inserts – 1) + 50 mm
If the step layers are sized correctly, this joining method will produce a very strong joint, with properties consistent with the rest of the belt.
PVC Conveyor Belts: For PVC conveyor belts, preparation of the connectors for bonding is done using the W Finger technique, which ensures a larger bonding contact area. For joints requiring greater strength (heavy-duty conveyors), a stepped joint with a W Finger treated conveyor end is recommended.
